Ralph And Lisa Cutter
In small groups Ralph and Lisa Cutter will lead you through an intense learning experience. Our on the water instruction simply can't be duplicated on a city lawn or parking lot. We guarantee you'll become a better flyfisher. We are one of the oldest and most respected "fly" schools in the country. On top of all the fly fishing magazines, we've been profiled in such diverse publications as National Geographic Adventure, the L.A. Times, Outside, the New York Times, Adventure West, the Wall Street Journal, Sunset, and Playboy.
Every
year Ralph spends hundreds of hours underwater observing fish behavior.
Combining this perspective with years of guiding experience, he
has redefined the flyfishing envelope. His innovative techniques
and fly patterns are used by anglers world wide. Ralph has contributed
to over a dozen books, writes and photographs for virtually all
of the outdoor publications, and his award-winning Sierra Trout
Guide, has sold over 60,000 copies. He is an aquatic ecology columnist
for California Fly Fisher Magazine.
Lisa
is one of the best known female flyfishers in the world. Her instructional
techniques are on the cutting edge of flyfishing and an incredible
80% of her clients are referred by previous students.
Ralph and Lisa flyfish the world yet remain devoted to their home waters of the Sierra Nevada. In pursuit of trout, they have packed well over 4,000 miles throughout the range.
Lisa and Ralph were inducted into the NCFFF Hall of Fame and Ralph is a recipient of the prestigious Order of the Mayfly award. Both Cutters are fully certified FFF casting instructors. They are internationally bonded, insured, and licensed by California Department of Fish & Game.
