| This is often the first pattern I grab when trout are eating duns or emerging mayflies. It is a time honored and often imitated pattern. This fly does an excellent job of imitating emerging mayflies stuck in their nymphal exoskeleton. Dress the post, hackle and thorax with fly floatant and fish in the film. I carry this pattern in gray from size twenty to twelve and in green in a size ten to imitate the Truckee's green drakes. | |
