Tangerine Dream

DESIGNED BY: Ralph Cutter
HOOK: 5262
THREAD: Black
LEGS: Dark mottled hen saddle
ABDOMEN/THORAX: Blended orange & white rabbit, & orange Antron.
The Tangerine Dream imitates the pupa of the October Caddis (Dicosmoecus). It is a killing pattern from mid September through October in our freestone western rivers and streams. The October Caddis pupa may roam for days along the river bed before emerging into the adult form. This big piece of orange meat seems to have no survival instincts and will often be found swimming in lazy circles in the back eddies. Fish accordingly.
