| The Teichert Caddis imitates the
lepidostoma caddis so common in our weedy Sierra ponds. It roams
the weedbeds and often drifts just underneath the film. The
caddis is often found in windrows on the down wind edges of
lakes. The fly has almost neutral buoyancy which allows it to
sink slowly and drift naturally. This is a heave it and leave
it pattern. When trout are cruising or only rising sporadically,
often the meaty Teichert Caddis is just the ticket.
